The transition between ballasted track and slab track places high demands on the track system. Differences in stiffness, compaction and elasticity result in increased loading at the wheel–rail interface.

This is precisely where our «BRIDGE» solution comes in. Through graduated, full-area bonding of the ballast, installed in layers using fully coated ballast stones, the sti ness within the transition zone can be specifically adjusted.

This creates a uniform and stable track transition that absorbs and transfers forces along the length of the transition in a controlled manner according to operating speed.

The result is immediately noticeable: greater track stability, improved ride comfort and reduced dynamic loading on both the track and rolling stock.

The technology also demonstrates its strengths at level crossings. Full-area bonding beneath the rubber crossing panels reduces movement and settlement within the ballast bed. The transition area remains permanently stable, increasing the service life and reliability of the structure.
