The suction and pressure generated by passing trains can dislodge ballast stones from the ballast bed, set them in motion and lift them into the air – with potentially far-reaching consequences for rolling stock, rails, people and animals, as well as lineside equipment.

This is precisely where our full-area ballast bonding solution «BALLAST» comes in. It stabilises the surface and permanently bonds individual ballast stones into the track structure, effectively reducing ballast pick-up and unwanted ballast movement.

At the same time, the essential function of the ballast bed is retained: its geometry and water-permeable structure remain intact.
